Thematic Chapters

Thematic Chapters

In this section you can find theoretical background and ideas to develop youth work practices on refugee inclusion through Living Libraries methodology.

Here below find a set of Thematic chapters that provide an overview on different aspects related to inclusion, cooperation and living libraries.

Take them as an introduction to the issues addressed and do not hesitate to contact us for further support and ideas.

Together with the glossary and the guidelines, recommendations and tips these materials serve as a basis for the implementation of similar projects supporting the inclusion of young migrants and refugees and hosting communities at local level.

Educational Approaches In Inclusion Youth Work

Inclusion youth work requires well planned educational and methodological approaches to develop not only a comprehension of new knowledge and skills but especially an open, democratic and critical development of attitudes of respect towards dignity and diversity.
This thematic chapter introduces the methodological approaches used in the inclusion activities tested by, for and with young migrants and refugees.
Responding to the diversity of contexts and groups, practitioners are invited to take these elements into consideration when using and adapting inclusion youth work activities.

Developing Cooperation Strategies

Developing youth work inclusion practices require well planned cooperation strategies. Stakeholders at local level are of paramount importance when promoting inclusion. The experience obtained through the strategic partnership project enabled partners to structure a cooperation and networking strategy at international level. This chapter details the steps of developing a cooperation strategy which is hereby based on four main steps: self-analysis, mapping stakeholders, managing resources and future planning.
